Perrymount Playgroup is a registered Playgroup operating under the auspices of Haywards Heath Methodist Church. We are affiliated to the Pre-school Learning Alliance.   In October 2011 we were graded Outstanding by OFSTED.  To view our OFSTED report, please click on the link below.

We are able to take up to 26 children of pre-school age and have a high staff-to-child ratio.

Perrymount Playgroup has been operating for over 30 years and we aim to provide a warm, welcoming, happy and stimulating environment where we can encourage learning through play and socialisation.   The children are treated as individuals and encouraged to be independent and to develop their self-esteem.   We hope that whilst they are with us the children are able to build on their natural curiosity as learners, develop their language and mathematical thinking, use their imagination and develop social relationships.

We have high expectations of what our children can achieve.  We help them to learn what is right and wrong.   We observe the children's achievements and use these observations for future individual planning.    We aim to prepare our children to settle happily and confidently into full time eduacatin when the time arrives. 

When and where?

We meet in Wesley Hall (adjoining the Methodist church), Perrymount Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 3DN. 

Our Sessions are:-

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays -

9.45am to 12.15om (11.45am for Under Threes)

Tuesdays (for 4 year olds and subject to sufficient numbers) -

12.15pm to 2.45pm

We are open for 33 weeks a year term time.

Committee

The Playgroup is run by a management committee made up of three officers from the church, church representative(s), admissions secretary, parent representative and the church minister who is the Playgroup chairman.   Should it be necessary to contact the Chairman please telephone the church office number as above.
